Groovy. Psychedellic. Far out. The 70's are back!

As I've talked about in previous posts, 70's inspired trends have taken over this season. From  flare pants to tie dye shirts and dresses, its hard not to feel like you've stepped into a different era while out shopping. Crochet pieces and maze patterns are some other elements that add to the 70's vibe.  If you want to pick up a few boho inspired pieces, you can do it without spending very much money at all, thanks to Forever 21. They have tons of 70's flare going on, with endless selections of shirts and dresses. Check out some pictures from my latest trip there...

Cute shoes.

Summer items have arrived, and by the time May is here, most of the cute stuff will be gone (everywhere)  So get on it

Target has sooo many cute swimsuits/summer dresses/shoes that I wanted. I obviously took care of the shoe part.....

I saw  a particular wedge that I loved that will be great for summer. These wedges are so comfotable, good cushioning and easy to walk in.

Wedge : Target (Mossimo) Style: Wilona $19.99

The second pair can be worn throughout the year, with skirts, dresses, or pants. I love the ankle strap.

Shoes : Target   Chocolate color. Style: Wilette    $24.99

My shopping mission that day was to find shoes that would work with my new wide leg trousers.  The shoes needed to be tall and chunky for the look I wanted. Mission accomplished, both pairs look great with my trousers.

Peek ahead- Fall 2011 Nail trends

Some of the upcoming nail trends were recently displayed at Paris fashion week...

The "gilded" manicure - chrome base with your choice of color on top, nail is trimed in the chrome instead of a regular french manicure

Pretty much the opposite of the fun gilded manicure would be to go the boring route with a skintone flesh paint. The

nude/skintone nails are going to be huge this  summer

Creepy nail trend- Sharp nails. This is definitely a trend that I hope dies very very quickly.

Funky Doc Martens- Spring 2011

Spring 2011 collection

Doc Martens have gotten a makeover....leopard prints , bright funky colors, and even floral prints. I am in love with the leopard shoes in the first picture. (not the purple ones)
